No matter how beautiful a room may be, poor service can ruin a guest’s entire experience in an instant.
-
Unfriendly Staff Attitude: This includes staff who appear grumpy, avoid eye contact, or fail to offer a warm greeting. Communicating in an impolite tone or showing visible frustration when a guest asks for help can deeply impact the hotel’s image.
-
Service Delays: Long wait times for check-in or check-out, delayed food service, or maintenance staff not arriving promptly after a report. Even waiting too long for elevators during peak hours can lead to frustration.
-
Lack of Knowledge or Information: Staff who are unable to answer questions about hotel facilities, offer local travel recommendations, or provide basic troubleshooting for guests.
-
Overlooked Special Requests: When specific notes—such as a request for a king bed, a high floor, or a birthday celebration—are ignored without prior notice, leaving the guest feeling undervalued.
