White Tea
Global Highlight
A “legendary white tea” made 100% from young buds covered in fine silver hairs (one bud). Grown in the Fuding and Zhenghe areas of Fujian province. It goes through minimal processing, reflecting the pureness of the tea leaves. The taste is gentle, soft, and sweet.
Simple Production Process
- Harvesting: Hand-picked using only young buds that haven’t opened yet, picked before the Qingming Festival.
- Withering: Spread out on bamboo trays and left to dry in soft sunlight, alternating between indoor and outdoor conditions for 48–72 hours.
- Drying: Dried with low heat until the moisture content is reduced to 5–6%.
Professional Brewing Method
- Equipment: Tall glass or a gaiwan (lidded cup).
- Tea Amount: 3–4 grams per 150 ml of water.
- Water Temperature: 75–85°C.
- Steeping Time: 3–4 minutes.
- Re-steeping: 3–4 times, steeping for 4–5 minutes each time.
Taste: The tea liquor is a clear, pale yellow color. It has aromas of dried hay and flowers. The taste is sweet, gentle, and smooth with no astringency.
